Who we are

The Colorado Veterans Chamber of Commerce ("the Chamber," "we," "us") is a nonprofit business group. We connect, grow, and speak up for veteran-owned and military-connected businesses in Colorado.

This policy explains what information we collect on coloradoveteranschamber.org, why we collect it, and what choices you have. By using the website, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Chamber and serve our members.

Information you give us

  • Your name, email, phone number, and mailing address
  • Your business name, business address, website, industry, and a short description
  • Membership details, such as your membership level and renewal date
  • Veteran or military-connected status, if you choose to share it
  • Messages you send us, event sign-ups, and survey answers

Payment information

Dues and event fees are handled by Stripe, LLC ("Stripe"). That company collects your card or bank details. We do not store full card numbers on our website.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours may collect basic technical details when you visit:

  • Your device and browser type
  • Your internet (IP) address and general location, such as city or state
  • The pages you view and how long you stay

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. We may use them to keep you logged in, remember your settings, and count visitors. You can turn cookies off in your browser, but some parts of the site may not work as well.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Set up and manage your membership
  • List your business in the member directory
  • Take payments for dues and events
  • Send you news, event invites, and member updates
  • Answer your questions
  • Improve the website and our programs
  • Speak up for veteran-owned businesses, using only group totals that do not name you
  • Keep the website safe and follow the law

The member directory

The member directory is public. If you are a member, your business listing can be seen by anyone who visits the website. A listing may show your business name, contact details, website, and description.

Only put information in your listing that you are comfortable sharing with the public. To change or remove your listing, email us at contact@coloradoveteranschamber.org.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the Chamber, such as Stripe, Plus Five Five, Inc. ("Resend"), and our website host Vercel, Inc. ("Vercel"). They may use your information only to do work for us.
  • The public directory. As explained in The member directory.
  • Event partners and sponsors. Only if you say yes first.
  • Legal reasons. If a law, court order, or government request requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of the Chamber, our members, or others.
  • A change in the organization. If the Chamber merges with or hands its work to another nonprofit, member records may move with it.
